Capybara games that list offline play #
Capybara Crossing #
Full disclosure: Capybara Crossing is the game this blog is about. You hop a capybara across roads, rivers and railways, dodging cars and trains, riding logs and collecting coins to buy 19 different capybaras. The whole game runs on the phone, so it works on a plane or underground. There’s no account, and your high score, coins and capybaras are saved on the device.
Offline you lose only the ads, which also means losing the optional extras that come from ads: the 50-coin videos and the ad-based revive. It’s on iPhone and Android and rated 9+ on the App Store.
Super Capybara Adventure #
A side-scrolling platformer with 7 maps full of hidden spots and 70 levels, with more promised. Every 10 levels ends in a boss fight. You collect coins to buy boosters and bullets, grab the Big Potion to smash bricks, and aim for three stars per level by finishing before the timer runs out. There’s a collection of capybara skins to earn. Its store description calls it 100% free and offline, and the Google Play listing shows ads and in-app purchases. Capybara Relax Games #
From the same developer, this is an antistress collection of relaxing capybara mini-games rather than one long game. Google Play lists it as playable offline, with ads and in-app purchases, and rates it for ages 3+. It suits short, low-pressure sessions.

Capybara Rush #
A 3D runner with five modes that include running, driving, swimming, stacking and flying. You collect oranges, ice cream, bananas and secret letters to earn more than 60 capybaras, from pirates to superheroes. The listing doesn’t say whether it works offline, and it’s a 452.3 MB download on the App Store, so install it on Wi-Fi and test it at home first. Capybara Go! #
Habby’s text-based roguelike RPG, where you make choices during randomized events, collect gear and gather animal companions. It’s a very different game from the others here, closer to an idle RPG. It isn’t presented as an offline game, and its events and chat rely on a connection, so don’t count on it for a flight without testing.
What do you lose when a capybara game is offline? #
Even the games that list offline play still use the internet for a few extras:
- Ads, and anything tied to them. Reward videos for coins, revives or boosters won’t load.
- Online events and leaderboards, where a game has them.
- Backups. Offline games usually save only on the device, so your progress doesn’t follow you to a new phone, and deleting the app can delete it.
